Nigel Thomas
Nigel is Tekmart’s director of asset management.
He joined Tekmart upon graduating with a BSc Hons from the University of Toronto in 1998. Since then he’s played a key role in executing Tekmart’s growth strategy, by driving company initiatives across multiple operational areas. He has been pivotal in transforming a small trading office into a multi- disciplined leader in the industrial capital assets technology industry, with a global outlook and a network of local offices. Nigel is equally adept at managing multiple distress liquidation projects or negotiating strategic partnerships with key OEM vendors, private equity firms and industry consultants.
Nigel enjoys touring obscure single-malt distilleries and sampling the odd dram.

Adeel Khan
Adeel Khan
Adeel’s primary role is business development in Europe and North America; he also plans and executes Tekmart’s marketing communications strategy.
He studied pre-engineering at Government College University in Lahore, Pakistan and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from York University, Toronto. Adeel is highly experienced in appraising, buying and selling PCB Assembly and injection molding equipment. He has successfully managed full plant closures and implemented full facility turn-key solutions. Prior to joining Tekmart in 2006, he started his career with Citigroup. He has contributed to several technology start-ups.
Adeel likes to keep fit and is an avid dragon boat racer.

Kai Chang
Kai Chang
Kai’s primary role is business development in Asia.
He holds a B.Comm in Marketing Management from the University of Guelph, Canada. Joining upon graduating, his detailed, analytical approach proved an ideal fit for a career in asset recovery. Highly experienced in appraising, buying, marketing and selling surplus surface mount technology and PCB assembly equipment. Kai has successfully managed full plant acquisitions, negotiating with companies like Nokia, Sony and GM.
When he gets a chance Kai hits the road with his motorcycle.

Octavio Uruchurtu
Octavio Uruchurtu
Octavio is account manager for Latin America plus Portugal, Spain and Italy.
With a background in banking and cross-border trade, Octavio has worked with financial institutions like BMO in Toronto and Banco Internacional in Mexico City. He has also worked with the Mexican Maquiladora Trade Industry Organization: CNIME in Mexico City, giving him extensive access and contacts to the region. From 2010 to 2013 he coordinated the cross-border logistics of Tekmart’s warehousing in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico.
Octavio’s passion is collecting die cast classic cars.

Hide Yamada
Hide Yamada
Hide performs a dual business development role that encompasses Japan and Tijuana/San Diego.
He is equally at home in Japan and America. For over a decade he was Sales Manager of industrial equipment for Fuji Machinery Co. in Japan. He also spent over a decade at Panasonic North America as Sales Manager of SMT equipment. Hide’s background gives him unique insights into the nuances of both markets, whether acquiring or selling SMT or injection molding equipment. He holds a BEng from University of Mie, Japan plus an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago.
Hide is also a keen golfer.

Atul Pant
Atul Pant
Atul handles Tekmart’s operations in India.
Based in New Delhi, he travels extensively, interacting with stakeholders throughout the region. His mandate includes developing new business and providing after sales service and support to existing customers. Prior to joining Tekmart he held positions with Focus Tek and XO InfoTech. Atul’s in-depth local industry intelligence and widespread contacts are invaluable for sourcing or valuing industrial technology assets. He has a BSc from Kumuan University and a post graduate diploma in Computer Science from NIIT, New Delhi.
Atul likes reading autobiographies of iconic personalities.
